About SideTracked Caches
This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found on the SideTracked Series website.

The Boise Depot is an iconic landmark, located at 2603 W Eastover Terrace, Boise, Idaho. It is a historic, city-operated landmark situated on the Boise Bench, next to the beautiful Platt Gardens, offering public access and event spaces with views of the downtown area.

The Depot is a former train station built by the Union Pacific Railroad and opened in 1925.  It served as a major stop, with peak service in the 1940s before passenger trains ceased in 1997. The city-owned site was refurbished in 1993, hosts events, and celebrated its centennial in 2025. At an elevation of 2,753 feet above sea level on the rim of the first bench, the depot overlooks Capitol Boulevard and the Idaho State Capitol, one mile to the northeast.

Logging requirements:
Post a photo of yourself (face not required to show) or a personal item with the Boise Depot Clock Tower in the background.
