Kaslo River has a whimsical trail, winding along the river and over covered, wooden pedestrian bridges coloured an enchanting shade of magenta. Located along the south side of the river is an art installation of eight reinforced concrete sculptures, seven children playing hide-and-seek and one adult watching over them. Installed by Yvonne Boyd, Spring Shine, and Christopher Peterson of the Koots Artist Collective in 2020, this fairy tale installation took over 550 hours to design and build.
The coordinates take you to the first sculpture. Continue along the short trail to see if you can find all the 'Koots' while they play Hide and Seek amongst the boulders. There is also coordinates for the last sculpture in the series. All the sculptures are between these two coordinates.
Access - from the parking lot adjacent to Highway 31A follow the trail down and over the bridge. Continue upriver until the trail switchbacks, follow the trail up and stay left towards the virtual cache.
Alternate Access - Trail head at the Kiosk at the end of Arena Rd.
