Il fait la fierté des sétois. Dominant la méditerranée par 175 mètres de hauteur au niveau de la mer, le Mont Saint-Clair est un ancien volcan qui donne une silhouette si particulière à la ville de Sète. De son sommet, un magnifique panorama surplombe les canaux et son port, la citadelle de Richelieu, le phare et le célèbre cimetière marin où Paul Valéry, l’écrivain, poète et philosophe français repose depuis 1945.
A visiter également, la Chapelle Notre Dame de la Salette (1861) pour ses fresques intérieures.
Le Mont Saint Clair offre un point de vue stratégique pour découvrir Sète si particulière. Construite autour de ses ports, parcourus par des canaux qui offrent le passage entre la mer et la lagune de Thau, la ville est reliée par les neuf ponts qui sont à découvrir. Sète mérite bien son surnom d’île singulière ou de petite Venise languedocienne.
Comment loguer cette cache ?
Pour loguer cette cache vous devrez poster une photo en lien avec la vue et prouvant votre présence sur le site (photos retouchées refusées si elles ne permettent pas d'identifier votre présence sur le site au moment de la prise de vue) :
- soit, de préférence, joindre à votre log une photo de vous-même en étant sur le télescope panoramique « visio » avec la vue du port de Sète en arrière-plan.
- soit, photographier un objet en lien avec le « visio » et toujours la vue du port de Sète en arrière-plan (y faire apparaitre votre pseudo est alors nécessaire uniquement si la photo ne permet pas d'identifier qu'elle vient de vous).
La photo doit permettre d'identifier le télescope panoramique « visio » avec en arrière-plan le port de Sète. Montrer votre visage est facultatif.
Les logs ne contenant pas de photo ou contenant des photos hors sujet ou ne permettant pas d'identifier le lieu seront supprimés sans avertissement.

It is the pride of Sète. Rising 175 meters above sea level, Mont Saint-Clair, an ancient volcano, dominates the Mediterranean, giving the city of Sète its distinctive silhouette. From its summit, a magnificent panorama overlooks the canals and port, the Richelieu citadel, the lighthouse, and the famous marine cemetery where Paul Valéry, the French writer, poet, and philosopher, has rested since 1945.
Also worth visiting is the Notre Dame de la Salette Chapel (1861) for its interior frescoes.
Mont Saint-Clair offers a strategic vantage point for discovering the unique character of Sète. Built around its ports, crisscrossed by canals that connect the sea to the Thau Lagoon, the city is linked by nine bridges, all waiting to be explored. Sète truly deserves its nickname, "the singular island" or "the little Venice of Languedoc."
How to log this cache ?
To log this cache, you must post a photo related to the view and proving your presence at the site (edited photos will be rejected if they do not allow identification of your presence at the site at the time the photo was taken):
• Ideally, attach a photo of yourself at the "Visio" panoramic telescope with the view of the port of Sète in the background.
• Alternatively, photograph an object related to the "Visio" telescope, again with the view of the port of Sète in the background (including your username is only necessary if the photo does not allow identification of you).
The photo must clearly identify the "Visio" panoramic telescope with the port of Sète in the background. Showing your face is optional.
Logs without a photo, or containing irrelevant photos, or photos that do not allow identification of the location will be deleted without warning.
