Dieser Cache würdigt die eindrucksvolle Höhenroute im Bayerischen Wald.
Anfangs wurde die sogenannte „8‑Tausender‑Wanderung“ über den Arber‑Hauptkamm beworben, kurze Zeit später erweiterte man sie um die Gipfel des Kaitersbergs. Sie wurde zur „12‑Tausender‑Tour“. Diese gilt als die abwechslungsreichste aber auch anspruchsvollste Gratwanderung im Bayerischen Wald, wobei der Höhenzug geomorphologisch bereits zum Böhmerwald zählt.
Entlang dieses Kamms wurden an markanten Stellen Edelstahl‑Wanderschilder mit der stilisierten Silhouette des Kaitersberg/Arber‑Kamms angebracht. Diese Schilder sind Orientierungspunkte und Fotomotive – und Ziel dieses Caches.
Ziel und Aufgabe
- Finde mindestens acht verschiedene Edelstahl‑Wanderschilder mit der Silhouette des Kaitersberg/Arber‑Kamms.
- Neun Schilder sind mit exakten Koordinaten in den Wegpunkten aufgeführt. Entdeckt ihr auf der Wanderung zusätzliche Schilder, werden diese selbstverständlich ebenfalls anerkannt.
- Lade die Fotos als eine Collage oder einzeln in deinem Log hoch.
Logbedingung
Zum Loggen dieses Virtuals lade bitte Fotos hoch, die folgende Anforderungen erfüllen:
- Zeige acht verschiedene Edelstahl‑Wanderschilder mit der Kaitersberg/Arber‑Silhouette. Die Schilder müssen eindeutig unterscheidbar sein (verschiedene Standorte oder unterschiedliche Schilder).
- Auf jedem Foto muss zusätzlich zu den Schildern sichtbar sein:
- du selbst (Person), oder
- ein Zettel mit deinem Geocaching‑Namen, gut lesbar, oder
- dein Geocaching‑Maskottchen.
- Es ist unerheblich, ob die acht Fotos an einem einzigen Tag oder an acht verschiedenen Tagen entstanden sind.

Sicherheits Hinweis
Bitte verlasst die markierten Wanderwege zu eurer eigenen Sicherheit und zum Schutz der Natur zu keinem Zeitpunkt. Es gibt im steilen Gelände ohnehin keine sinnvollen Abkürzungen. Beachtet zudem, dass die Route über den Grat lang und fordernd ist – ein vorzeitiger Abstieg vom Kamm ist nur an wenigen Stellen möglich: an der Kötztinger Hütte, am Bergsattel Eck sowie am Reischflecksattel hinab nach Schareben.
Die Strecke kann auch im Winter begangen werden. Sie ist explizit als Schneeschuhroute ausgewiesen. Allerdings sind hier genaue Planung, ausreichende Kondition und gute Ausrüstung unabdingbar. Informiere dich vorab über die aktuelle Wetterlage, plane realistische Tagesetappen und nimm ausreichend Wasser mit.

Tato keš vzdává hold působivé hřebenové trase v Bavorském lese.
Zpočátku byla propagována takzvaná „túra po 8 osmitisícovkách“ (v němčině „8-Tausender-Wanderung“, což odkazuje na vrcholy nad 1000 metrů) přes hlavní hřeben Javoru (Arber). Krátce nato byla rozšířena o vrcholy Kaitersbergu a stala se z nej „túra po 12 tisícovkách“. Ta je považována za nejrozmanitější, ale také nejnáročnější hřebenovou túru v Bavorském lese, přičemž geomorfologicky tento horský hřeben patří již k Šumavě.
Podél tohoto hřebene byly na významných místech umístěny nerezové turistické cedule se stylizovanou siluetou hřebene Kaitersberg/Arber. Tyto cedule slouží jako orientační body, fotomotivy – a jsou cílem této keše.
Cíl a úkol
- Najděte nejméně osm různých nerezových turistických cedulí se siluetou hřebene Kaitersberg/Arber.
- Devět cedulí je uvedeno s přesnými souřadnicemi ve waypointech. Pokud během túry objevíte další cedule, budou samozřejmě také uznány.
- Nahrajte fotografie jako koláž nebo jednotlivě do svého logu.
Podmínka pro zalogování
Pro zalogování této Virtual keše nahrajte prosím fotografie, které splňují následující požadavky:
- Ukažte osm různých nerezových turistických cedulí se siluetou Kaitersberg/Arber. Cedule musí být jasně rozlišitelné (různá místa nebo různé cedule).
- Na každé fotografii musí být kromě cedule vidět také:
- vy sami (osoba), nebo
- papírek s vaším geocachingovým nickem (dobře čitelný), nebo
- váš geocachingový maskot.
- Není podstatné, zda osm fotografií vzniklo v jediný den, nebo v osmi různých dnech.
Bezpečnostní upozornění
V zájmu vlastní bezpečnosti a ochrany přírody prosím v žádném případě neopouštějte značené turistické trasy. Ve strmém terénu stejně neexistují žádné rozumné zkratky. Uvědomte si také, že trasa přes hřeben je dlouhá a náročná – předčasný sestup z hřebene je možný pouze na několika místech: u chaty Kötztinger Hütte, v horském sedle Eck a v sedle Reischflecksattel dolů směrem na Schareben.
Trasu lze absolvovat i v zimě. Je výslovně označena jako trasa pro sněžnice. Nezbytné je však přesné plánování, dostatečná kondice a dobré vybavení. Předem se informujte o aktuální povětrnostní situaci, naplánujte si realistické denní etapy a vezměte si s sebou dostatek vody.

This cache honors the impressive high-altitude trail in the Bavarian Forest.
Initially, the so-called "8-Thousander Hike" (referring to peaks over 1,000 meters) across the main Arber ridge was promoted. Shortly afterwards, it was expanded to include the peaks of the Kaitersberg, becoming the "12-Thousander Tour". This is considered the most diverse but also the most demanding ridge hike in the Bavarian Forest, although geomorphologically the mountain range is already part of the Bohemian Forest.
Along this ridge, stainless steel hiking signs featuring the stylized silhouette of the Kaitersberg/Arber ridge have been installed at prominent locations. These signs serve as landmarks, photo opportunities – and the target of this cache.
Goal and Task
- Find at least eight different stainless steel hiking signs featuring the silhouette of the Kaitersberg/Arber ridge.
2. Nine signs are listed with exact coordinates in the waypoints. If you discover additional signs during your hike, they will of course be accepted as well.
- Upload the photos to your log, either as a collage or individually.
Logging Requirement
To log this Virtual Cache, please upload photos that meet the following requirements:
- Show eight different stainless steel hiking signs with the Kaitersberg/Arber silhouette. The signs must be clearly distinguishable (different locations or different signs).
- On each photo, the following must be visible in addition to the signs:
- yourself (person), or
- a note with your geocaching username, clearly legible, or
- your geocaching mascot.
- It does not matter whether the eight photos were taken on a single day or on eight different days.
Safety Advisory
For your own safety and to protect nature, please do not leave the marked hiking trails at any time. There are no reasonable shortcuts in this steep terrain anyway. Please also note that the route along the ridge is long and demanding – an early descent from the ridge is only possible at a few locations: at the Kötztinger Hütte, at the Eck mountain pass, and at the Reischflecksattel down towards Schareben.
The route can also be hiked in winter. It is explicitly designated as a snowshoe route. However, precise planning, sufficient physical fitness, and proper equipment are essential. Check the current weather conditions in advance, plan realistic daily stages, and carry plenty of water with you.
