Dean’s Park is a relaxing green space in the heart of the city of York. It’s free to visit and sits in a fantastic location, on the north side of York Minster. It offers spectacular views of the beautiful cathedral.
Its a lovely spot away from the hustle and bustle of the city thanks to its calm atmsosphere. Adults can explore the paths admiring the plants and flowers whilst the children can sit beside Paddington and enjoy a yummy marmalade sandwich.
Logging requirements: Please post a picture of yourself, or something that shows your geocaching name with the Minster in the background or sat beside Paddington.
Please note: The cache is not accessible 24hours, park opening times are shown below.
Dean’s Park is usually open every day from 10am until 6pm. It may sometimes be closed for special events.
The park is open year-round, and its scenery changes depending on the season. Visit in February or early March for colourful crocuses or try autumn for the beautiful golds, oranges, and browns of the trees and shrubbery.
