The Kimono Forest is a striking contemporary art display that winds throughout the platforms and public plazas of the Randen Arashiyama Station in Kyoto, Japan. Hundreds of clear 2 meter high acrylic pillars contain fabric dyed in the traditional Kyo-yuzen style. Vivid colors and images of birds, flowers, and geometric shapes inside the pillars are gorgeous to see.
Walk through the Kimono Forest and find a small spiritual pond. Local people regard it as a "power spot". Legend says that your mind will be filled witth peace and you will have good fortune when you put your hands in the pond.
