Geocache Description:


The Dewerstone Carrington Inscription is a memorial to the Dartmoor poet Nicholas Carrington (1777–1830), carved into a prominent granite rock on the summit of Wigford Down, near Dewerstone Rock . The inscription, reads "Carrington – Obit Septembris MDCCCXXX", which commemorates his love of the area.
