Geocache Description:

The Basilica of Saint Stanislaus Kostka is a historic church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Winona-Rochester in Winona, MN. It is a prominent fixture on the city's skyline. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.  It was designated as a Minor Basilica on November 10, 2011 by Pope Benedict XVI.

The Basilica of Saint Stanislaus Kostka was designed during the winter of 1893–1894 in the Polish Cathedral Style by the Winona architectural firm of C.G. Maybury and Son.  The foundation stone was laid on October 28, 1894.  The Basilica was dedicated on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1895.  It was built at the then-exorbitant cost of $86,000.

In order to log a "Found It" on this virtual cache, please post a photo of yourself or some other personal item with the Basilica in the background.  Your face does not need to be in the picture.  Logs without photos will be deleted.
