Welcome to Jacobs Ladder - Falmouth
A distinctive stairway of 111 steps.
Grade II listed because of its historical significance.
The steps were commissioned by a prominent local business man Jacob Hamblen to link his business premises at the bottom to his house at the top.
In order to log this cache, please upload a picture of yourself or a personal item (GPS, geocaching mascot, a piece of paper with your caching name on it etc ) at BOTH the top and the bottom of ‘the ladder’
LOGS THAT DO NOT MEET THIS CRITERIA WILL BE DELETED
If you are struggling to upload two photos to the log, please send additional photo in message to myself or attach in additional 'write note' log. DT rating requires photo from top and bottom of ladder
These steps ARE as steep as they look.
Built in the 18th century, the granite steps are worn in places.
ONLY CLIMB IF YOU ARE ABLE !
For those that feel weak at the knees just looking at the steps, there is a less steep option by walking the long way around
