Officer Anthony Holly:
Tony Holly was an amazing young man, having been in the Air Force, been a volunteer with Big Brothers-Big Sisters, coached little league, served his local community as a Police Officer, served in the Honor Guard for both the Air Force and Glendale PD, and made an impact on countless lives. He did all of this by the age of 24.
On February 19, 2007, Tony took a call to assist another officer with a traffic stop. The front seat passenger had presented false ID to the primary officer on the scene, so neither he nor Tony knew who they were dealing with. When the passenger exited the vehicle, he drew a weapon from his waistband and fired. Tony was shot in the neck and did not survive.
That was a sad day for the City of Glendale.
