Hoher Dom St. Martin
Der Mainzer Dom (Hoher Dom St. Martin zu Mainz) ist das Wahrzeichen von Mainz, daher haben wir uns entschlossen, diesen mit einem Virtual zu 'bedosen'.
Der Hohe Dom St. Martin zu Mainz, kurz Mainzer Dom, ist die Kathedrale (Bischofskirche) der römisch-katholischen Diözese Mainz und steht unter dem Patrozinium des heiligen Martin von Tours. Der Ostchor ist dem Hl. Stephan gewidmet. Der zu den Kaiserdomen zählende Bau ist in seiner heutigen Form eine dreischiffige romanische Pfeilerbasilika, die in ihren Anbauten sowohl romanische als auch gotische und barocke Elemente aufweist.

Über Jahrhunderte hinweg galt der Mainzer Dom als ein religiöses und politisches Zentrum des römisch-deutschen Reichs und war deshalb Schauplatz von Krönungen und Reichstagen. Kaiser Heinrich IV. förderte den Bau der Kathedrale. Die schicksalhafte und wechselvolle Geschichte des Bauwerks war vor allem mit der herausragenden Stellung der Mainzer Erzbischöfe in der Kirche und im Reich verbunden. Sieben Brände überstand das Gotteshaus.

Nun zum Cache:
Hier gibt es vier Aufgaben zu erfüllen. Gehe jeweils zu den einzelnen Wegpunkten, um die Aufgaben zu beantworten.
Stage 1 - Fotopunkt
Hier bitte genau, wie unten im Listing abgebildet, ein Foto knipsen. Auf jeden Fall mit Euch/Zettel mit Namen/GPS-Gerät mit der Statue des St. Martin oben auf dem Dach!
Stage 2 - Heunensäule
Welches Tier schaut aus einer Kopfbedeckung direkt auf den Mainzer Dom?
Stage 3 - Haupteingang Mainzer Dom
Gehe zum Haupteingang (ist mit zwei Fahnen gekennzeichnet und liegt auf der Nordseite des Doms).
Was ist auf der rechten Seite am Haus, unter dem Schild „Via Sancti Martini“ in die Hauswand eingebracht?
Der Dom ist außerhalb der liturgischen Zeiten zur Besichtigung geöffnet: In der Regel werktags zwischen 9 und 17 Uhr, sonntags und feiertags zwischen 13 und 17 Uhr. Für das persönliche Gebet ist die Gotthardkapelle täglich geöffnet (Eingang nur vom Markt aus). Die Dominformation ist geöffnet: Montag 10.00 Uhr - 14.30 Uhr | Dienstag - Freitag 10.00 Uhr - 17.00 Uhr | Samstag 10.00 Uhr - 15.00 Uhr.
Stage 4 - Modell des Mainzer Doms
Finde auf dem Modell das Nördliche und Südliche Seitenschiff. Wie viele kleine Gauben auf dem Dach befinden sich insgesamt auf beiden Seitenschiffen? (Eine Gaube auch Dachgaube ist ein Dachaufbau im geneigten Dach eines Gebäudes.)
Logbedingungen:
1. Knipst an Stage 1 ein Foto auf dem Folgendes zu sehen ist:
- im Hintergrund der Dom mit St. Martin auf dem Dach!
- im Vordergrund gerne du selbst, dein GPS oder ein persönlicher Gegenstand mit Deinem Cachernamen (Du musst darauf nicht erkennbar sein.)
Ladet dieses Foto mit eurem Logeintrag hoch:
2. Schickt eine eMail mit eurem Cachernamen im Betreff an eine eMail-Adresse, die mit den ermittelten Informationen von den Stages, wie folgt zusammengesetzt wird:

Wenn die eMail-Adresse korrekt ist, erhaltet ihr eine Nachricht (Autoreply). Sobald ihr die Nachricht bekommen habt, könnt ihr loggen.
Logs, welche diese beiden (Foto und Mailversand) Logbedingungen nicht erfüllen, sowie Logs mit Spoilern zu den Stages werden kommentarlos gelöscht.

Go to the main entrance (marked with two flags and located on the north side of the cathedral).

The cathedral is open for visits outside of liturgical times: generally weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Sundays and holidays between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. The Gotthard Chapel is open daily for personal prayer (entrance only from the market square). The Cathedral Information Center is open: Monday 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. | Tuesday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. | Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
