🇨🇭 Seesicht – Blick unter den Zugersee
An der Uferpromenade der Rössliwiese in Zug steht eine ungewöhnliche Kunstinstallation: Seesicht von Roman Signer. Dieses begehbare Kunstwerk aus Stahl und Glas führt dich über eine Treppe rund 5 Meter unter die Wasseroberfläche des Zugersees. Unten angekommen wartet ein grosses Fenster, durch das du die Unterwasserwelt des Sees beobachten kannst – Fische, Wasserpflanzen und das Lichtspiel unter der Oberfläche bieten ein faszinierendes Erlebnis, das sich mit Tageszeit und Wetter ständig verändert.
Seesicht wurde 2015 zum 25-jährigen Jubiläum des Kunsthauses Zug realisiert und hat sich schnell zu einem beliebten öffentlichen Ort entwickelt, der Spaziergänger, Kunstliebhaber und Neugierige anzieht.

Um diesen virtuellen Cache zu loggen, brauchst du ein Unterwasserbild aus dem Bereich am Ende der Treppe mit dem grossen Glasfenster (also dort, wo du ins Wasser hineinblickst). Auf dem Bild muss deutlich zu sehen sein:

Nur so zählt dein Log als gefunden. Sollte die Türe verschlossen reicht auch ein Bild von aussen (siehe, diese Beispielfoto). Der Spassfaktor ist aber deutlich höher, wenn man die Öffnungszeiten beachtet.

Das Kunstwerk ist öffentlich zugänglich und wird – vor allem in der wärmeren Jahreszeit – täglich genutzt. Die typischen Öffnungszeiten richten sich nach der Saison und sind meist:

🇬🇧 Seesicht – A View Beneath Lake Zug
At the lakeside promenade of Rössliwiese in Zug you will find an extraordinary art installation called Seesicht, created by Swiss artist Roman Signer. This walk-in structure made of steel and glass leads you about five metres below the surface of Lake Zug.
At the bottom of the staircase, a large glass window opens up a direct view into the underwater world of the lake. Fish, aquatic plants and shifting light conditions make every visit unique. Depending on the time of day, weather and water clarity, the scenery behind the glass changes constantly.
The installation was created in 2015 to mark the 25th anniversary of the Kunsthaus Zug and has since become a popular and freely accessible place for locals, walkers and art lovers alike.

To log this virtual cache, you must upload an “underwater photo” taken at the end of the staircase, directly at the large glass window where you look into the lake.
The photo must clearly show:

Logs without a photo or missing this information may be deleted. Should the door be locked, a photo from the outside will suffice (see these example photos). However, the fun factor is much higher if you pay attention to the opening hours.
