29.Januar 1945 styrtet et alliert jagerfly i Skånevikfjorden. Den ene flyveren fulgte med flyet som sank mens den andre ble reddet av 4 ungdommer som rodde ut og tok flyveren med seg til land. De 4 var: Sigurd Skoge (min far), Alf Mortveit, Helge Leknes og Andreas Vika.

On January 29, 1945, an Allied fighter plane crashed in the Skånevikfjord. One pilot was with the plane that sank while the other was rescued by 4 young men who rowed out and took the pilot to shore. The 4 were: Sigurd Skoge (my father), Alf Mortveit, Helge Leknes and Andreas Vika.
