Chief Passamaquoddy is one of the most famous roadside attractions in the state of Maine. I was rewarded a virtual cache this year and I had always planned putting it on Baxter Peak atop Mount Katahdin. Should I ever be lucky enough to get one. I then realized that there is one already there disguised as a mystery (GC93F0 Sights to Bewhole). Had I put it there I would have to rate the DT asa1D 5T. I thought that I should have something that everyone could enjoy and go with something in a 1D 1T. That's when I decided that Chief Passamaquoddy would be a good place for my virtual. Great for kids, wheelchairs, tourists, and of course geocachers. There's a traditional nearby and an Adventure Lab point as well. Be sure to read the descriptions and write up to learn the history of Chief Passamaquoddy.
The logging requirements are very simple. More requirement without the s. A simple photo of yourself with Chief Passamaquoddy. Or a photo of your cache name on something in front or him. See! Simple. You don't have to have your face in the picture as rules but a photo identifying you were here to see the Chief in person is required. No photo and I will send a message asking for you to add one to your log. If you don't then comply I will have to delete your log. Sorry 😞 Again your cache handle written on something in front of the Chief works fine. But faces of fellow geocachers is best! So don't be so shy 😉
There are photos of myself provided to show exceptable photos. Group photos are great as well just don't forget that you need to be identifiable and the Chief must be in the picture.
Enjoy and happy caching geofriends 😃
