I love history and I had been looking for a place to use for my virtual geocache. While out with some friends and working on an adventure lab - this statue grabbed my attention. It is a beautiful place and shares history, so I hope others enjoy it as much as I did. Now onto the cache.
**The Underground Railroad**
The Underground Railroad passed through Battle Creek, Michigan, on its way to Canada.
The statue at this location was designed by sculptor Ed Dwight. It is 28 feet long, 14 feet tall, and cast in bronze. The sculpture depicts the movement of freedom seekers traveling along the Underground Railroad in search of a better life.
To claim this cache, please complete the following:
1. Send me the answer to this question through the Geocaching message center: **How many dogs are included in the statue?**
2. Take a photo of yourself or a personal item at the statue and include it with your log. Please avoid revealing the answer to Question #1 in your photo or log so future geocachers can enjoy the challenge.
