Linnés Mus är Uppsalas stads minsta offentliga konstverk.
Det är uppfört av konstnären Anna-Karin Brus som föddes i Uppsala 1971. Det placerades här 2007 till 300-årsjubileum av Linnés födelse.
Ursprunget till konstverket är en samling dammiga gamla uppstoppade djur i källaren av Institutionen för Evolutionsbiologi. Dessa är rester från tiden när Carl von Linné var professor där. I samlingen fanns bl.a. en mus där huvudet var fastknutet med en rosett som har använts som referens. Musen är i naturlig storlek.

It was created by the artist Anna-Karin Brus, who was born in Uppsala in 1971. It was placed here in 2007 for the 300th anniversary of Linnaeus' birth.
The origin of the artwork is a collection of dusty old stuffed animals in the basement of the Department of Evolutionary Biology. These are remnants from the time when Carl von Linné was a professor there. The collection included, among other things, a mouse whose head was tied with a bow that has been used as a reference. The mouse is life-size.

På sommaren skall musen syns (med Uppsala slott i bakgrunden, om det inte skymms av trädets löv). På vintern; är det snö så kanske inte musen syns, men slottet.

REQUIREMENTS FOR LOGNING THIS CACHE!
Take a picture of yourself or your GPS or a note with your nickname and photo date in the same direction as I did (you, the mouse, the tree, the pond, the castle) and attach it to the log (see example image).
In the summer, the mouse should be visible (with Uppsala Castle in the background, if it is not obscured by the tree's leaves). In the winter; if there is snow, the mouse may not be visible, but the castle.
