Das Rathaus ist das wohl bekannteste Bauwerk von Leer.
Schon von weitem ist das historische Rathaus mit dem 54 m hohen Turm zu erkennen. 1894 wurde es eingeweiht. Der Architekt Henrici hat sich bei der Planung viel Mühe gegeben, noch heute können sich die Besucher des Rathauses (zum Beispiel während einer Rathausführung) vom Glanz des großen Saales und den wunderschönen Deckenmalereien überzeugen. Rund um das historische Rathaus reihen sich viele Straßen und Gassen mit liebevoll sanierten Häusern. Es lohnt sich, sich die Zeit zu nehmen und die Altstadt zu Fuß zu erkunden.

Logbedingung für diesen Virtual Cache:
1. Schaut euch vor Ort um. An der Wand des Rathauses befindet sich ein steinernes Relief, das ein Wappen zeigt. Oben mittig sind je zwei Zahlen XX sowie ein Symbol zu sehen.
2. Fügt die gefundenen Zahlen und das Symbol in folgende Mail-Adresse ein und schickt diese mit eurem Geocachernamen im Betreff ab: XXSymbolXX@web.de (Beispiel: Wären auf dem Relief die Zahlen 1234 und als Symbol ein Herz zu sehen, so würde die Mail-Adresse 12Herz34@web.de lauten.) Habt ihr alles richtig gemacht, bekommt ihr sofort eine Logfreigabe und dürft sofort loggen.
3. Bitte fügt eurem Log ein Foto hinzu, auf dem ihr mit euren Fingern, euren Armen oder sonst wie (seid gerne kreativ) ein „L“ formt und das Rathaus zu sehen ist. Das „L“ steht hierbei für das Wappen von Leer. Fotos, auf denen nur das Rathaus zu sehen ist, reichen nicht aus und müssen leider gelöscht werden.
