The Sant Pau Recinte Modernista in Barcelona is the largest Art Nouveau complex in the world and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. This former hospital (Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau) was designed by the Catalan architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner and was built between 1901 and 1930. The complex is considered one of the absolute highlights of Catalan Modernism.
