På en bergshöjd invid Långhundraleden ligger Upplands största fornborg, Broborg från tidig järnålder.
Borgen är 95 x 85 meter stor och försedd med en ringmur, dubbla försvarsvallar och två ingångar. Båda vallarna bär spår av kallmurning. Stora delar av den inre vallen är förglasad. Inne i borgen finns en rund stensättning, 7 meter i diameter och 0,4 meter hög.
Kulturlager med forntida sopor, kol, djurben, keramikskärvor och en pärla har hittats innanför murarna vid mindre utgrävningar av borgen vilket tyder på att människor bodde här i omgångar för 1 500 år sedan.
Nordost om borgen finns en trefaldighetskälla.

On a mountainside next to Långhundraleden lies Uppland's largest ancient castle, Broborg from the early Iron Age.
The castle is 95 x 85 meters large and equipped with a ring wall, double defensive ramparts and two entrances. Both ramparts bear traces of dry stone masonry. Large parts of the inner rampart are glazed. Inside the castle there is a round stone setting, 7 meters in diameter and 0.4 meters high.
Cultural layers with ancient garbage, charcoal, animal bones, pottery shards and a pearl have been found inside the walls during minor excavations of the castle, which indicates that people lived here in batches 1,500 years ago.
Northeast of the castle there is a trinity spring.
Logging
To log this virtual cache, you need to take a photo at the published coordinates, which will be attached to the log.
