La Basilica di San Marco è uno dei monumenti più celebri di Venezia e rappresenta un capolavoro dell’architettura bizantina in Europa occidentale. Si trova in Piazza San Marco, cuore storico e simbolico della città.
Costruita originariamente nell’XI secolo per custodire le reliquie di San Marco Evangelista, la basilica colpisce per la sua ricchissima decorazione: mosaici dorati che ricoprono interni e cupole, marmi pregiati e una facciata imponente con elementi gotici e bizantini mescolati.
È stata per secoli la cappella privata del Doge di Venezia e oggi è uno dei luoghi più visitati della città, sia per il suo valore artistico sia per quello storico e religioso.

B. Selfie con sfondo la Basilica di San Marco
Per garantire l’autenticità della visita ed evitare che le foto vengano scattate o inviate da terzi, è richiesta la presenza di un elemento identificativo del visitatore in ogni immagine. È quindi obbligatorio includere nella foto una persona oppure, in alternativa, un oggetto personale riconoscibile o un foglietto con il proprio nickname chiaramente visibile. Non saranno accettate foto prive di un riferimento del viaggiatore.
Qualsiasi foto che non rispetti queste regole verrà considerata non valida ai fini del log.

St. Mark's Basilica

St. Mark’s Basilica is one of Venice’s most famous monuments and stands as a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture in Western Europe. It is located in St. Mark’s Square, the city’s historic and symbolic heart.
Originally built in the 11th century to house the relics of Saint Mark the Evangelist, the basilica is striking for its lavish decoration: golden mosaics covering the interiors and domes, fine marbles, and an imposing façade that blends Gothic and Byzantine elements.
For centuries, it served as the private chapel of the Doge of Venice, and today it is one of the city’s most visited sites, prized for its artistic, historical, and religious significance.

LOG REQUIREMENTS
There are two cache requirements, and we will call them A and B
A. Looking at the facade of St. Mark's Basilica you will see some horses above the main arch (no need to go up) Count them and write down the answer. (Use the photo below to help you.)

To ensure the authenticity of the visit and prevent photos from being taken or submitted by third parties, an identifying element of the visitor is required in every image. Therefore, each photo must include either a person or, alternatively, a personal object or a sheet of paper with the participant’s nickname clearly visible. Photos without any form of visitor identification will not be accepted.
Any photo that does not comply with these rules will be considered invalid for logging purposes.
