Dieser Virtual führt euch in die historische Empfangshalle des Bremer Hauptbahnhofs. Direkt an den Wänden findet ihr das große, über 20 Meter breite Mosaik aus den 1950er-Jahren. Die Listing-Koordinaten führen euch direkt davor.
This Virtual Cache takes you into the historic entrance hall of Bremen Central Station. Right on the walls, you will find the huge mosaic from the 1950s. The coordinates lead you straight to it.
📜 Die Chronik / History & Context
Das Brinkmann-Mosaik wurde 1957 nach Entwürfen des belgischen Künstlers Alexandre Noskoff aus farbigen Majolika-Fliesen gestaltet. Es zeigt Szenen der damaligen Tabakproduktion und des Überseehandels. Nachdem es seit den 1960er-Jahren unter einer Putzschicht und hinter Leuchtreklame verdeckt war, wurde es bei Sanierungsarbeiten um die Jahrtausendwende wieder freigelegt.
The Brinkmann mosaic was designed in 1957 by Belgian artist Alexandre Noskoff using colorful majolica tiles. It depicts scenes of tobacco production and overseas trade of that era. After being covered by plaster and advertisements since the 1960s, it was uncovered again during renovation work around the turn of the millennium.
