For years I've been wanting to get to the top of this small peak. From below at the right vantage point you can see it has a large rock cliff face. I was going to place the cache there but thought this location gave better overall views and less likelihood of getting one of the 5 people who visit killed.. some of whom I like. When I visited, I came from the clear cut and it was kinda difficult and steep.. but leaving the hill I found a relatively short bushwack and of course found two mylar balloons and a single can of oil, that reveal a wolf pile of plastics that were used as targets.. anent a pretty massive steel silhouette.
From up on this hill I was able to get a nice view of Mt. Rainier, Baker and Pilchuck.
The cache is up in a dead tree which you can get to by standing on a log that is spanning a slight depression. Access the cache either by scrambling the root ball or by walking 30-40ft along the log... don't fall please, it gets a bit wiggly in the middle. Also there are 100ft drop offs near GZ so keep an eye on your dog and kids.
I've been adding benchmark data to all my new caches and trying to include the closest one to my older caches since they've been removed from the cache pages.
This location has a benchmark within 1000ft and is included as an waypoint.
Its data sheet can be found HERE
