Geocache Description:

Cache Type: Cache In Trash Out® (CITO)
Date: April 11, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Location: Red River below Lake Texoma Dam (Texas side)

Howdy y’all! 🤠
It’s time to give back to the game and the great outdoors with a good ol’ fashioned Red River CITO!

Join the Host Cachingrednecks and other members of Texoma Area GeoCachers as we roll up our sleeves and clean up the Texas side of the Red River below Lake Texoma Dam. This stretch sees a lot of foot traffic, and we’re here to help keep it clean, safe, and cache-worthy.

🪣 What to Bring:

  • Buckets

  • Trash grabbers

  • Gloves (strongly recommended)

  • Closed-toe shoes

  • A good attitude and some redneck elbow grease 💪

🎒 What the Host Will Provide:

  • Trash bags

  • Water 💧

  • DONUTS 🍩 (because no CITO should start without ‘em)

♻️ We’ll spread out along the riverbank, gather trash, and swap geocaching stories while we work. This is a family-friendly event, so bring the kids, the geo-pups, and your favorite caching buddies.

🎁 Bonus:
Attend and log this event to earn your 2026 CITO Season 1 Souvenir — clean river, full belly, happy cacher! 🏆

⚠️ Safety Tips (Please Read)

Your safety comes first, y’all:

  • 👟 Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes — the riverbank can be rocky and uneven

  • 🧤 Gloves are highly recommended when handling trash

  • 🐍 Be alert for snakes, insects, and wildlife common along the river

  • 🌊 Stay clear of fast-moving water and avoid steep or unstable banks

  • 🚫 Do not handle sharp, hazardous, or suspicious items — notify the host if you find any

  • ☀️ Dress for the weather and stay hydrated (Texas gonna Texas)

We’ll keep things safe, smart, and fun while making a real difference.

Let’s show some Texoma pride and leave the Red River better than we found it.
See y’all bright and early — donuts first, trash second! 🍩🗑️🌞
