Geocache Description:

🧹 CITO @ Eaglestone Rock Campground – Cache In, Trash Out

Date: Saturday, 2 May

Location: Eaglestone Rock Campground

Cache In. Trash Out. BYOM. Brag Later. šŸ˜„

We’re hosting a CITO event based at Eaglestone Rock Campground, running alongside our BYOM event — so if you’re already planning a big day of caching, this one’s easy to add to the itinerary.

This isn’t a stand‑around‑the‑campground kind of CITO. Instead, we’re turning the whole day into a side quest:

āž”ļø Go geocaching

āž”ļø Pick up rubbish as you go

āž”ļø Return victorious

šŸ† The (Very Serious) Challenge

How much rubbish can we collectively rescue from the bush in one day?

There are no prizes, no leaderboards, and absolutely no pressure…

…but we will be meeting up at the end of the day to admire the haul and enjoy some well‑earned smugness.

āœ… How it works

• 9:00am – Swing by Eaglestone Rock Campground to grab a rubbish bag (we’ll supply them)

• Head out caching for the day (BYOM adventures encouraged!)

• Collect any rubbish you spot along tracks, near caches, or wherever it’s lurking

• 5:00pm – Meet back at the campground to see how much we’ve all collected

• Important note: Due to limited facilities, everyone will need to take the rubbish they collect home with them for disposal

Think of it as CITO meets BYOM, with a splash of friendly competition and zero whistles.

🧤 What to bring

• Rubbish bags: āœ… supplied

• Gloves: optional but recommended

• Your usual geocaching kit

• Water, snacks, sun protection, and BYOM enthusiasm

šŸ“ø Logging the event

To log your attendance:

• Drop by the campground at some point during the event, and

• Make a genuine effort to collect rubbish while caching

Photos in your log are encouraged (especially if your bag is impressively full), but not required.

This is a laid‑back, do‑it‑your‑way CITO — enjoy the caches, enjoy the BYOM event, and help leave Eaglestone Rock looking better than we found it.

Grab a bag. Cache hard. Trash responsibly. šŸ˜‰
