These impressive lime kilns were once just a small part of a large industrial landscape containing sand and shale pits, coal mines and oil works which stretched almost as far as Pentland Road. Once a prominent feature of the landscape, housing has sadly encroached on them.
There is nothing at the published coordinates - though it is both a good spot to see the kilns from and to park.
