Geocache Description:

Felixstowe Beach station was opened in 1877 and closed in 1967.  It was on the line built by Colonel George Tomline from Ipswich to Felixstowe Pier station, whose site now lies within the Port of Felixstowe.  Although the station is no longer used, the line remains connected to the Port of Felixstowe.  In 1898, the more conveniently placed Felixstowe town station was opened and Felixstowe Beach became underused, with the station eventually being closed to both freight and passengers.

Little remains of the station buildings now but the platform is still clearly visible on the north east side of the crossing.
