Let's help clean up the Fox-Wolf Watershed! This event will focus on two locations along the waterway near Wrightstown - Croche Dam Picnic Grounds & Mueller Park.
**Update as of 4/27: The larger event organized by the Fox-Wolf Watershed has designated the Croche Dam Picnic Grounds as the official check-in location (N 44° 18.845′ W 88° 11.836′), so plan to check in there with your CO and then have option to head over to Mueller Park or clean up at Croche Dam area.**
The Fox-Wolf Watershed includes the areas that drain into the Wolf River, the Upper Fox River, the Winnebago pool lakes, and the Lower Fox River. This water all eventually ends up in the bay of Green Bay, which flows into Lake Michigan and eventually out the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean.
Most of the trash that ends up in our rivers and lakes starts on land. Rain and snowmelt carry litter from streets, parking lots, and shorelines into nearby waterways. Removing trash here on the land near the shoreline prevents pollution downstream!
Clean up supplies will be provided and event is family friendly. Parking area and access to log would be a terrain of 1, but trails through wooded areas do have hills to get to the river shoreline. You can pick an area to clean up that fits the terrain you're willing to tackle.
We will plan to meet at Mueller Park, **initial meeting point now Croche Dam Picnic Grounds shelter, parking lot across from W165 Co Rd ZZ, Kaukauna**, sign the log sheet, and then split up to the various areas to target for the clean up.
This CITO will be held in conjunction with the larger event organized by the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance.
