Welcome to Wembury Wander. A circular walk on footpaths and tracks taking in distant views of South Dartmoor, River Yealm and the Mewstone. The route is around 7km long, which can be shortened (missing out caches 9,10 and 11) or lengthened (missing 11) and continuing around the cliff path to Wembury Beach.There are several other multis and traditional caches close by. Lovely picnic/coffee stop at cache 8.
Part of the route is on a new (ish) path across National Trust land, which is not on current paper maps or the geocaching app!
At the time of setting, the paths were muddy and slippery - suitable footwear required! Unfortunately the route is not suitable for buggys or wheelchairs.
Mobile signal is poor in places - best to download route before setting out.
All caches are film containers or smaller - no space for either trackables or booty. Bring your own pen/pencil and tweezers.
