Die Isla Mujeres ['isla mʊ'xeɾɛs] (‚Fraueninsel‘) ist eine Insel an der mexikanischen Karibikküste im Bundesstaat Quintana Roo. Die Isla Mujeres liegt etwa 13 km nördlich des Ferienorts Cancún. Sie hat eine Bevölkerung von 12.642 (2010). Haupterwerbsquelle ist der Tourismus. Die Insel hat eine Ausdehnung von etwa 7 km Länge und 650 Meter Breite, mit einer Fläche von 4,2 km;. Die Westküste ist seit 1996 Teil des Nationalparks Costa Occidental de Isla Mujeres, Punta Cancún y Punta Nizuc.
This cache is dedicated to my loved mexican girl Itza and it is located on the main road. It is a tribute to our favourite island, Isla Mujeres.
The nearby area (called Bornekamp) is worth a visit if you're in that area. It's a natural zone with walking/running trails surrounded by agricultural fields and forests.
