The Series
PandaMania was a public art project led by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities that took place in the summer of 2004 throughout DC where 150 panda statues were created by artists and exhibited in public around the district. After the project ended, the panda statues were auctioned off with the proceeds going to further the commission's work. Twenty years later, some of these pandas continue to be on display around DC businesses and residences. This series is meant to bring geocachers to revisit DC's local art history; created by Aliengirl back in 2015. More recently, habattack00 decided to pick up the mantle to find more of the Pandas.

The Panda
Hi, my name is Pandoramic Washington.
I was created by artist Sharon Roy Finch. My journey began at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Washington, D.C. These days, you can find me in a front yard in Alexandria, Virginia. I like to have fun and sometimes I dress up for the holidays.

This panda can be viewed from a public sidewalk.
The panda and the cache are within a suburban neighborhood, please be stealthy.
- The parking coords are a great place to start
- The posted coordinates are a short walk from the parking coords
- Do not enter private property!
- At the posted coords, take a moment to gaze upon the wonderful Pandoramic Washington
- Locate the nearby utility pole and solve the field puzzle (see below)
- The final is a short walk from the posted coords
- No room for trading, BYOP
- Please be stealthy with the find and rehide the container as found
Field Puzzle
One side of the utility pole has 3 plates close together. Use the info on the plates to solve this field puzzle
North 38 47.XXX
- Take the numbers on the top plate and subtract 193. The answer is XXX
West 77 07.YYY
- Take the numbers on the middle plate and add 324. The answer is YYY
