Geocache Description:


Clyde Tombaugh an American astronomer discovered Pluto on February 18, 1930, while working at the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona. Although born in Illinois, Tombaugh moved with his family to a farm near Burdett, Kansas. At age 24, using a blink comparator to compare photographic plates, Tombaugh identified a shifting faint object that was later named Pluto.
