Hostrup kirke ligger centralt i landsbyen Hostrup.

Dionysius.

Kirken har været udsat for brande i to omgange. Winstrup i 1862-63.

Hostrup church is centrally located in the village of Hostrup. Around the church, the village's thoroughfare runs between the nearby neighboring village of Jejsing in the south to the old noble estate Solvig in the north. Close to the church is Kirkekroen, which is now a congregational house and at Kvengen south of Hostrup is the village's very old vicarage. The reason why Jejsing is now bigger than Hostrup is the construction of the railway past Jejsing in 1867.

In 1477, the church was dedicated to the Virgin Mary, St. Lawrence, Mary Magdalene and St. Andreas. A relic from a saint hidden in the church's old altar table testifies to this. In the church, there's a medieval figure of St. Dionysius.

The church has been exposed to fires on two occasions. In 1650 the tower burned down and in 1860 the nave partially burned. The church was subsequently renovated after 1650 and by L.A. Winstrup in 1862-63. Later, restorations took place by Axel Hansen in 1927 and by Ebbe Clemmensen in 1956-57. In 1913, the church's altar silver was destroyed by a fire in the servants' quarters. The old altar silver was later replaced by a new set which was a copy of the old one.
