Time to head up the hill and join me in Mundaring for Magic Maker 2026.
I will be hosting an interactive event celebrating creative cache design and quality cache hides within our local geocaching community. This event celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship behind high-quality geocaches, and attendees will leave with ideas and inspiration to create their own unique hides.
Several experienced cache owners will bring along some of their creative cache containers and puzzle ideas to display. Attendees will be able to examine the caches up close while cache owners demonstrate how they were designed and built, including materials used, camouflage techniques, and ways to make containers durable in the field.
Information will also be available for anyone interested in hiding their own cache, including:
• choosing a suitable location
• container sizes and placement distances
• following geocaching guidelines
• the cache submission and review process
New cachers are especially welcome if you are thinking about hiding your first cache.
Attendees are encouraged to bring along their own homemade cache container or creative idea to share with the group.
Prize for the most creative cache!
Food and drinks are available at the venue.

Rumour has it there may be some fresh hides in the area, so allow some extra time if you'd like to grab a few smileys before or after the event. The Mundaring area is home to some highly favourited creative caches worth visiting.
