Snowflakes drift through silent trees,
Settling soft on bark and leaves,
The woods lie hushed in silver light,
A quiet world of winter white.
Boots press paths in powder deep,
Secrets buried fast asleep,
With mittened hands and careful glance,
I follow clues by frozen chance.
Coordinates in cold air traced,
Breath like clouds that drift and race,
A hidden cache beneath the snow,
Where only patient seekers go.
Branches shimmer, iced and still,
Time slows down along the hill,
A tiny box, a frosty prize,
Found where winter’s mystery lies.
Snowflakes fall without a sound,
Softening sky and forest ground,
And in the woods, so calm and bright,
Adventure glows in winter’s white.
Thanks to jspleva for the geocache container!
