Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden in the Kettle Moraine State Forest Northern Unit for the 2026 All Things Wisconsin West Bend Cache Ba$h.

Note: The trail is open from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. The forest is open to public hunting during established seasons. Consult the DNR website for more information.

Sunlight spills through maple leaves,
Warm and bright on summer eves,
Shadows dance on winding trails,
Where hidden treasure softly calls.

Sunglasses on, the world aglow,
Green and gold in dappled show,
Cicadas hum, the air feels sweet,
Dust and pine beneath my feet.

GPS in hand, I roam,
Through Wisconsin woods I call my own,
Following clues from bark to stone,
Each step a path I’ve never known.

A hidden cache beneath a log,
Past ferns and roots and morning fog,
A simple find, a quiet cheer,
Adventure tucked so close, so near.

The sun dips low, the forest glows,
Crickets start their evening shows,
Then at day’s end, a perfect treat—
Cold watermelon, crisp and sweet.
