“Mens vi venter…”
Hvis du læser dette, er der en ganske reel mulighed for, at du står – eller sidder – i nærheden af en ladestander og stirrer på en procentmåler, der bevæger sig omtrent lige så hurtigt som maling der tørrer.
At lade en elbil er en disciplin i tålmodighed. Først finder man en ledig stander (hvis man er heldig). Så kobler man bilen til. Derefter starter den stille venten, hvor man skiftevis kigger på telefonen, på bilen, på procenttallet… og på telefonen igen.
Det er her geocaching kommer ind i billedet.
For hvad gør man egentlig med de 15, 25 eller måske 40 minutter, hvor bilen alligevel bare står og suger strøm? Man kunne scrolle lidt mere på telefonen… eller man kunne finde en cache.
Denne cache er derfor en hyldest til alle de små pauser, der opstår på en køretur, hvor ventetid pludselig kan blive til eventyr.
Måske var det ikke planen at finde en cache lige her. Måske skulle du bare have lidt strøm på bilen. Men pludselig bliver ladestoppet lidt sjovere – og ventetiden lidt kortere.
Så mens batteriet langsomt fyldes op, kan du passende logge denne cache.
Og hvem ved… måske når bilen 80 % præcis samtidig med, at du finder logbogen.

“While We Wait…”
If you are reading this, there is a very real chance that you are standing – or sitting – somewhere near a charging station, watching a percentage slowly creep upwards.
Charging an electric car is, in many ways, a lesson in patience. First you find an available charger (if you're lucky). Then you plug in the car. And after that comes the waiting… checking the phone, looking at the car, watching the battery percentage… and then checking the phone again.
This is where geocaching enters the picture.
Because what do you actually do with those 15, 25, or maybe even 40 minutes while the car quietly absorbs electricity? You could scroll a bit more on your phone… or you could go find a cache.
This cache is therefore a small tribute to those little breaks during a journey, when waiting time suddenly turns into a small adventure.
Maybe you didn’t plan to find a cache here. Maybe you only stopped to charge your car. But suddenly the charging stop becomes a bit more interesting – and the waiting time a little shorter.
So while the battery slowly fills up, you might as well log this cache.
And who knows… maybe the car reaches 80% at the exact same moment you find the logbook.
