Welcome to New Taipei City Civic Square—easily the liveliest spot in town! Every December, the whole place turns into Christmasland, aka "Christmasland in New Taipei City", which is basically Taiwan's biggest holiday bash. Right at the heart of it all is our iconic Christmas tree, affectionately dubbed "The Bamboo Shoot" by locals. You can't miss it; it's the absolute centerpiece of the square!
During the holidays, the square is buzzing with concerts and incredible light shows everywhere you look. If you’re visiting in December, you’ve gotta come and soak in the vibes!
