Congrats to Scotdog for the FTF!!
The story has nothing to do with what you need to get this Multi, but while on a maintenance run down to the shore trail, I saw a fairly new memorial approximately 350 feet above "Fishbone Challenge" while I was descending the steps. I immediately thought he may have fallen on the steps which can be treacherous on some days if not careful. I did some internet research and I suspect it is for this young man who lost his life due to dehydration. This horrible trajedy, if it is the same one, occured on July 1, 2025. May he rest in peace.

𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗜𝗧 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧: Emergency responders conducted an intense search to find a dehydrated hiker who collapsed and later died after getting lost along the Palisades.
Responders searched for well over an hour and kept in phone contact with him after the man -- not knowing where along the cliffs he was -- called police for help around 8 p.m.
A throng of responders converged at the Stateline Lookout in Alpine during that time.
Responders conducted CPR for an estimated 15 to 20 minutes after finding the victim, who'd apparently suffered heat stroke after becoming seriously dehydrated. He was pronounced dead at the scene after being brought to the top of the cliffs.
Palisades Interstate Parkway police led the convoy of responders who included members of the East Bergen Rappel Team, the Closter Heavy Rescue Team, Alpine firefighters and ambulances from Closter, Norwood, Englewood Hospital & Medical Center, and Hackensack University Medical.
