Located in the northern village of Yigo, Simon A. Sanchez High School was once one of Guam's busiest campuses. For decades, students walked these halls, rushed between classes, practiced on the fields, and built friendships that lasted long after graduation. The campus was full of life, from early morning announcements to the cheers during school games and rallies.
However, time and damage eventually forced the school to close, and students had to relocate while long plans for rebuilding moved forward. What once was a daily gathering place for hundreds of students became quiet, leaving behind memories of the many generations who studied and grew here.
This cache was placed as a small reminder of what this place once represented to the community. Even though the students, teachers, and faculty have moved elsewhere for now, the spirit of the Sanchez Sharks still lives on in the people who were and are still part of it.
Good luck, BYOP, and happy caching!
