This Maker Magic Event is to celebrate the wonders of creating those moments.
Magical Moments are what Geocaching builds upon, Maker Magic is here in 2026 to explore and share these ideas.
For geocachers it's the surprise of the find, the excitement of finding that creative Letterbox geocache, the happy dance when signing the Letterbox Logbook and best of all, stamping your own personal Letterbox Stamp logbook, one that you carry from letterbox cache to letterbox cache around the world.
To the creators it's the idea to start with, the design to create, the materials needed, the all important stamp, and the method of how to create a good quality design.
An informative event celebrating the creative letterbox cache designs and quality hides that have recently been published within our Local Government Area. We have a new Letterbox Series on the drawing board and we will display some of these caches we have created to inspire the attendees to create their own unique Letterbox hides. Attendees will be able to see how the letterbox caches have been designed, crafted, and built, including noting the materials used, camouflage techniques and making sure the containers are weatherproof for durability.
The information available will demonstrate the evolving build of a Letterbox Hybrid Geocache, the steps included from the start, the design, deciding on a suitable location, making sure the stamp is included, through to submitting the cache for publication for anyone who is interested in hiding their own Letterbox Hybrid Geocache.
Maker Magic, Making magical moments, encourages attendees to bring along their own creative, homemade cache containers and ideas to share with other geocachers, new geocachers as well as experienced geocachers.
The magical moments, the twinkle in the eye, the beam of excitement, the excitement of finding a high quality letterbox cache is where the magical memories are always treasured, please come and join us for this Maker Magic Event.

Where: King Street Picnic Shelter, a beautiful, inspirational location on the shores of Geographe Bay in Busselton, a great location for getting the creative ideas flowing.
Time: 8.00 - 9.00am
There will be a coffee van in the nearby car park if you wish to purchase a coffee, hot choccie or muffins.
As part of the Official Worldwide Maker Magic Events, all 'Attended' logs will receive the Mayer Magic Souvenir.
