Legendary: A Marvel Deck-Building Game is a 2012 cooperative card game where players act as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents recruiting iconic Marvel heroes to battle a Mastermind villain. Players build their decks to defeat villains escaping the city, with a goal to beat the Mastermind four times. This is a semi-cooperative game, meaning all players play together on the same team, and they lose as a team. However, if the players achieve victory and defeat the Mastermind the player scoring the most Victory Point claims ultimate victory. Other versions of Legendary Deck-building games include: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Big Trouble in Little China, James Bond and the Legendary Encounters system consisting of Aliens, Predator, Matrix, and Firefly.
