Milton Town Forest
The Milton Town Forest is 485 acres of woodlands including about 6 miles of marked trails surrounding the 33-acre Milton Pond which used to serve as the town's reservoir.
The park is open from dawn to dusk unless otherwise posted or during special events.
Dogs are welcome. Of course, people accompanying dogs are expected to keep them under control and remove any waste the dogs may choose to deposit. Camping, fires, horses and motorized vehicles are prohibited.
The trails are likely to be muddy. Please help protect the trails by avoiding hiking in areas of high mud until the trails dry or completely freeze.
The southwest corner of the park along the Ridgeline West and Ridgeline South Trails in the area called The Saddle will likely be slick in rainy, snowy, and icy conditions. In wet times, there will be seasonal streams flowing across trails. There are not always bridges at this time.
Hunting is allowed in this park.
