A Little Bit Of Sebastopol History
Join us on Sunday, April 19th, 2026, from 10 - 11:30 for lots of fun! Sebastopol has a lot of fun history, and I figured I’d share some of what I’ve learned with you all in the form of a geocaching event.
A new Virtual Cache will publish at the conclusion of the event at a nearby location! Make sure to plan in time to grab it around noon if that interests you.
When: Sunday, April 19th, 2026, from 10 - 11:30
Where: Ives Park! I haven’t done an event here yet, and it's very near to a lot of interesting history (including the park itself). We’ll hang out here for the duration of the event. At the end of the event, multiple caches (including a virtual) will publish nearby.
Event Activities: I’ll bring some historical photos, primarily of the train system that ran through Sebastopol. Maybe some other stuff too. Lots of fun stuff to talk about! I’ll also have some light snacks, as always. Other than that, there are some nice places nearby to walk, and I’ll hopefully have a few caches publishing during and after the event.
Come say hi to your fellow geocachers and maybe learn a little history! I’ll keep y’all updated about the caches in event announcements.
See ya there!
