位于汕头礐石的英国领事署旧址，是汕头开埠后外国在汕设立的最早领事馆，始建于 1862 年（清同治年间）。它坐落于濠江区礐石海旁路5号，总占地面积约 4200 平方米，包含主楼、附楼、工人楼和后花园，是典型的英式殖民地建筑风格。其建筑融合了西方与潮汕特色，主体为两层砖石结构，设有架空层防潮，并配有拱券式内走廊、落地式木门窗及室内壁炉，建材多从英国运来。
这座建筑群是汕头开埠史的重要见证，1962 年中国政府通过外交途径将其赎回。作为目前全国仅存的 10 处原英领事署旧址之一，它于 2019 年晋升为广东省文物保护单位。近年来，当地政府对其进行了修缮与活化，主体建筑修复工作已完成，未来计划结合开埠历史进行展陈，以延续城市的历史文脉。
The former British Consulate in Queshi, Shantou, was the earliest foreign consulate established in the city after its opening as a commercial port. It was originally built in 1862 during the Qing Dynasty. Located at No. 5 Haipang Road, Queshi, Haojiang District, the site covers a total area of approximately 4,200 square meters. It includes the main building, annexes, workers' quarters, and a rear garden, showcasing a typical British colonial architectural style.
The architecture blends Western and local Chaoshan characteristics. The main building is a two-story brick-and-stone structure, featuring a raised ground floor for moisture prevention. It also includes arched interior corridors, floor-to-ceiling wooden doors and windows, and indoor fireplaces, with most building materials imported from Britain.
This architectural complex serves as an important witness to Shantou's history as an open port. In 1962, the Chinese government redeemed the property through diplomatic channels. As one of only ten surviving original British consulate sites in China, it was designated as a Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 2019.
In recent years, the local government has undertaken restoration and revitalization efforts. The main building has been fully restored, and future plans include exhibitions highlighting Shantou's port-opening history, aiming to preserve and continue the city's historical and cultural heritage.
