"The Ides of March" has always fascinated me along with the story of Julius Caesar. This year, on the Ides of March (3/15) Manistee had a wicked blizzard with huge gusts of wind that took out large trees (like the tree climb geocache in Mack Park) along with dumping a massive four feet of drifting snow at my doorstep! For the next four months, I thought that it would be interesting to hold events based on the theme of "Ides" (the fifteenth).
