It has been a while since I last placed a bus shelter cache, but the recent archiving of a nearby bumandworker cache 'Money Well Spent (GC33WZ)' meant this one, that I had been eyeing up for a couple of years became free.
Just as well, because in December 2025 I had to archive a similar shelter about 6kms up the road towards Nelson.
That one was 'Long Valley Shelter (GC6R388)'. I guess this reflects the ebb and flow of rural demographics where rural families children's school bus requirements wax in one area and wane in another.
This is another roadside park and grab best done while travelling east toward Blenheim. Also best not done around 8.00am or 4.00pm on school days. A mistake I made when I made my first attempt to place the cache.
