“Fuzhong” — literally meaning “a city within a city.” In New Taipei City, Fuzhong is located in Banqiao District; within Banqiao, Fuzhong finds its essence in the “Fuzhong Twin Cities.”
This area encompasses both the Old City—centered around the preserved settlement patterns near Lin Family Mansion and Garden—and the New City, represented by the internationally connected New Banqiao Special District with its integrated four-rail transportation hub. At its heart lies Fuzhong itself, with the Fuzhong commercial district serving as the point of convergence.
Extending from both ends and meeting in the middle, this one-kilometer corridor connects everyday community life with the broader metropolitan sphere, forming a unique “twin city” where historical depth and urban vitality coexist.
