The Hamilton Round Barn, built in 1912 by the Hamilton family, is a rare example of early 20th-century agricultural innovation, designed as a circular dairy barn to improve efficiency in livestock management and storage. Its progressive features, including early adoption of electric milking technology, reflect broader advancements in regional farming during a period of economic growth tied to agriculture and nearby oil activity. Recognized for its architectural and historical significance, the barn was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and is now preserved as a museum and community space celebrating rural life in North Central West Virginia.
