吝 Louisiana WMA Geocaching Pilot Program
Welcome to White Lake Wildlife Conservation Area!
This geocache is part of a pilot program by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries’ (LDWF) Geaux Play Outdoors program. The goal is to introduce geocaching as a low-impact way to explore select Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs), Wildlife Conservation Areas (WCAs), and Refuges across our state while being able to see land and wildlife management in action.
WMAs, WCAs, and Refuges are public lands managed for wildlife habitat, conservation, and outdoor recreation. They are funded in part by excise taxes on hunting equipment and ammunition—supporting conservation across the country.
This program is designed to help visitors experience these public lands in a new and engaging way while practicing responsible outdoor ethics.
Whether you are new to geocaching or a long-time cacher, we hope you enjoy exploring White Lake WCA as well as our other LDWF-managed lands.
