Ready to celebrate Earth Day with a bit of adventure? ļ§ If you’ve ever admired a rock formation, a shoreline, a hillside—or honestly any piece of the planet—you’ve already stumbled upon Earthcache potential. ļŒ‹ļŖØ

Earthcaches can be created anywhere in the world, require little to no maintenance, and let you share the planet’s geological wonders with geocachers everywhere. Vacation spot? ļ–ļø Nearby park?  Hike in the woods or stroll along the beach? If you’ve been there in the last two months and it is on planet Earth, it’s fair game.

So why aren’t there more Earthcaches out there? Great question. I’ve published eleven so far (with three more on the way!) across Denmark, British Columbia, Alabama, Florida, Arizona, Washington, and Hawaii. ļŒŽāœˆļø And trust me—they’re easier than you think. With today’s Geocaching guidelines and a little AI help, you can go from idea to publish-ready in minutes.

This hands-on training event will show you how to:

  • ļ” Research your location

  •  Gather site data

  • ļ“ Design your Earthcache to meetĀ Geocaching guidelines

  • āœļø Edit and refine

  •  Obtain permission (if needed).Ā  Park Directors love, love, love to give permission for Earthcaches.heart

  • ļš€ Submit for review by a Geoaware (not your usual reviewers - but just as pleasant to work with)

  • ļ’¬ Respond to FindersĀ

Let’s celebrate Earth Day (Wed, Apr 22, 2026)Ā by filling the world with more Earthcaches—one geological wonder at a time. ļŒļ’š

See you there!
